Where to check your allotment status officially

ClearIPO does not process or confirm individual allotments. To check whether you have been allotted shares, use the registrar recorded for that IPO above (where one is available) or the allotment status tool on the BSE or NSE website, using your PAN, application number or demat client ID.

How IPO allotment works

Allotment is the process of assigning shares to investors who applied in an IPO. It happens after the issue closes for bidding, once the registrar has consolidated all valid applications across every category: qualified institutional buyers, non-institutional investors and retail individual investors. If an issue is oversubscribed in a category, shares in that category are allotted using a method set out in SEBI's allotment rules, which for retail investors is typically a computerised lottery for whole lots.

The registrar to the issue (a SEBI-registered entity appointed by the company, not by ClearIPO) runs this process and publishes the results, usually within a few working days of the issue closing. Investors who are not allotted shares receive a refund of their blocked application amount; investors who are allotted shares have those shares credited to their demat account ahead of the listing date.

To check your own allotment, you need the registrar's official status page or the BSE or NSE allotment status tool, along with your PAN, application number or demat client ID. ClearIPO records the registrar for each IPO where our source reports one, but we do not host, replicate or verify allotment results ourselves; the registrar and the exchanges are the authoritative source.
