Live IPO subscription status

Subscription for IPOs that are open, closing or awaiting final figures, reported as a state rather than a placeholder number.

Why this page never shows a default figure

Subscription numbers come from exchange bidding data during the offer window. Before an issue opens there is nothing to subscribe to; after it closes, figures can lag while the source finalises them. We label each of these situations explicitly instead of showing a 0x or leaving a blank.

How to read IPO subscription figures

Subscription measures how many times the shares reserved for a category were bid for during the offer window, expressed as a multiple such as 2.5x. It is published by the exchanges (BSE and NSE) as bidding happens, broken down by investor category, usually qualified institutional buyers (QIB), non-institutional investors (NII) and retail individual investors, with employee and shareholder categories where applicable.

An issue that has not yet opened has no subscription figure at all; this is not the same as "0x", which would incorrectly suggest bidding started and no one applied. Once an issue opens, figures typically update through each bidding day and can move sharply on the final day as institutional investors place large orders close to the deadline. After an issue closes, there is usually a short gap before the exchange confirms final numbers, which we label as "awaiting final figures" rather than guessing at a value.

A high subscription multiple reflects demand at the time of bidding; it does not by itself indicate what will happen after listing, and ClearIPO does not use it to make or imply any recommendation. See our methodology for how these figures are sourced, browse the full IPO directory, check upcoming dates on the calendar, or read Learn: IPO basics for investor category definitions.
